The Amplifying Unit is for use in a 4 wire through, bi-directional audio circuit and provides a nominal gain of 30 dB in both directions of transmission in the frequency range 300Hz to 4KHz. The  gain  in  each   direction  of  transmission is  adjustable in 0.5dB steps by attenuators on the input. The maximum output to line is +14.5dBm, powered from either 24 or 48 VDC.
